New day and new Intel Raptor Lake CPU benchmarks have been leaked and this time it’s a Non-K Core i9-13900 with 24 cores & 32 threads.

Intel Core i9-13900 Non-K Raptor Lake CPU Benchmark Leaks, 10% Faster Single-Core & 17% Faster Multi-Core Boost Against 12900K

Found by BenchleaksIntel Core i9-13900 is Non-K variant optimized around a base TDP of just 65W versus an unlocked chip that will feature a base TDP of 125W (PL1). Maximum turbo power will obviously be rated much higher at around 200W but it won’t be as crazy as the 250W+ limit the 13900K offers.

As for the core configuration, the Intel Core i9-13900 Raptor Lake CPU will feature the same 24 cores and 32 threads with a total cache of 68 MB as the Core i9-13900K. The only difference is the aforementioned power limit which is slightly lower for Non-K chips and the clock speed as well which is rated at 2.0 GHz base clock & max boost clock up to 5.6 GHz. The 13900K has a 3.0 GHz base and a 5.8 GHz boost clock. All-core clock management will also be a bit conservative for Non-K chips so multi-core performance won’t be as big as an unlocked SKU jump.

So coming to the benchmarks, the Intel Core i9-13900 Non-K Raptor Lake CPU scored 2130 points in single-core and 20131 points in multi-core benchmark in Geekbench 5. In comparison, the single-core scores 10% faster than the Core i9-12900K and 26% faster than the Ryzen 9 5950X. The multi-core score, although not as significant as the 13900K, is still in the multi-digit range with a 17 percent improvement over the Core i9-12900K and a 22% improvement over the Ryzen 9 5950X.

When compared to the Core i9-13900K, the Intel Core i9-13900 Non-K Raptor Lake CPU is 24% slower in multi-threaded and 8% slower in single-core performance. This is good enough but shows that the Raptor Lake CPU relies heavily on power for its high multi-thread capability. The TDP and power saving environment will completely destroy the multi-core output of each 13th Generation chip.

Intel 13th Generation Raptor Lake Desktop CPU including the flagship Core i9-13900K is expect to launch in October on the Z790 platform. CPU will fight AMD Ryzen 7000 . CPU lineup which also launches in Fall 2022. Early Raptor Lake SKUs will only include K-series chips with Non-K CPUs which are expected to launch soon after those chips are along with mainstream motherboards.
