The Dallas Cowboys are almost ready to start their new gym at the Baylor Scott & White campus in East Dallas.
The new gym has been under construction since early last year on Washington Avenue east of downtown.
New Cowboys Fit planned on what formerly operated as Baylor Tom Landry Fitness Center. The renovated 51,000-square-foot fitness center is scheduled to open in early fall.
“We’re excited to add another Cowboys Fit location, this time in East Dallas,” said Dallas Cowboys executive vice president Jerry Jones Jr. in a statement. “Health and fitness are some of the main pillars of our organization.”
The East Dallas facility will be the fifth outlet for the Cowboys-branded training center. NFL team open it the first Cowboys Fit training center in 2017 in Frisco as part of the team’s mixed use development known as The Star.
The newest operation will be equipped with weights and weightlifting machines, an indoor sports lawn, areas for indoor cycling and group fitness, an indoor lap pool and recovery room.
Cowboys Fit also has locations in Plano, downtown Dallas and near Austin.
“We are excited to continue watching the Cowboys Fit brand grow and succeed,” said Mark Mastrov, who founded 24 Hour Fitness and partnered with Cowboys in the gym. “We have no doubt that Cowboys Fit East Dallas will be a wonderful addition to the Dallas community and will take our business to new heights.”
