Apple iPhone 14: value, launch date and the best way to pre-order

Apple announces the iPhone 14 lineup, consisting of basic iPhone 14, slightly bigger iPhone 14 Plusand the faster, the more capable iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max. Each of those links will take you to a live preview. Stay tuned for the full review, where we’ll be able to tell you if Apple’s A16 Bionic chip is worth upgrading, as well as see how some of the cameras and other new features (like satellite SOS) work in the real world.

If you already know you want to buy it, here are the live details: preorders start at 8am ET / 5am PT on Friday, September 9. Almost all phones will be released on Friday, September 16th, with one exception. That’s the iPhone 14 Plus, coming out on October 7. Where to preorder iPhone 14 and 14 Plus

iPhone 14 will be available for preorder via Apple, starting at $799 for the 128GB model. Going up to 256GB adds $100, while it’s $1,099 to get it with 512GB of storage.

iPhone 14 Plus with 128GB storage starting at $899 and follow the same price trajectory for storage upgrades. It’s $999 to double the storage to 256GB, then $1,199 to get the 512GB version. As noted above, this model won’t be released until October 7th.

Where to preorder iPhone 14 Pro

You will be able to get iPhone 14 Pro with 128GB storage for $999. There are more storage configurations available with this model, up to 1TB, at a cost of $1499.

Where to preorder iPhone 14 Pro Max

Similar to the smaller iPhone 14 Pro, the larger iPhone 14 Pro Max starts at 128GB of storage and can go up to 1TB. Costs, however, are not the same due to size differences. This model starts at $1,099rose to $1,599.

AT&T: For new and existing customers, you can get up to $1,000 off all new iPhone models when you redeem an eligible device. You’ll need to sign up to pay the phone installments, and you’ll receive a billing credit to trade-in for 36 months. Credits will start appearing on reports in three billing cycles.

T-Mobile: Same goes for T-Mobile. For new and existing customers, you can get discounts of up to $1,000 on all new iPhone models when you redeem an eligible device. You’ll need to sign up for monthly phone payments, and you’ll receive a billing credit to trade-in for 24 months. T-Mobile claims that credits start appearing on reports in two billing cycles.

Verizon: For new and existing customers, you can get discounts of up to $800 on all new iPhone models when you redeem an eligible device. You’ll need to sign up for monthly phone payments, and you’ll receive billing credits for trade-in over a 24-month period, with the credit starting in two billing cycles.
