  • v2.20 prepares Rocket League for Season 8
    • Season 8 starts on 9/7/2022 at 8am PDT/3pm UTC
    • Look for additional sticky notes detailing Season 8 before the season starts


New Arena: Sovereign Altitude

  • Sovereign Heights is now available in Private Match, and Free Play
    • Based on community feedback, we equipped this new arena with grass/grass courts. Enjoy!



Changes to Voice Chat (Toggle Mute)

  • Based on community feedback, we’ve added Toggle Mute as an option for the Voice Chat function in Rocket League
  • Under Settings -> Chats, we replaced the Push to Talk checkbox with a new Voice Input Mode dropdown
    • Open Microphone: Microphone is on all the time, no control input required
    • Press to speak: Control input activates the in-game microphone
    • Toggle Mute: Microphone on; control input turn off
  • Push to Talk/Toggle Mute default input set to “F” (keyboard), L3 (PlayStation), LS (Switch and Xbox)


  • Club: Removed the MOTD/news section from the Club page
    • We chose to remove this feature from the Club due to moderation issues
  • Added a banner for the 2021-22 RLCS World Champion Team BDS to the Champion’s Court


  • Fixed placement bug with party icon on scoreboard
  • Adjusted the appearance of some stickers on the Nissan Z so that it looks the same as on other car bodies
  • Custom Training pack updates will no longer break package progress
    • Progress may look wrong in the training pack browser for some packs, but will appear correctly after the player loads the pack
  • Fixed a bug that prevented some players from being able to join the Voice Channel
  • Player names will now display correctly in Private Match while watching
  • Fixed visual bugs with Hot Wheels Fast 4WD and MR11 Team Stickers
  • Fixed a bug that caused some Paint Finishes to appear darker than intended, including ‘Bling’, ‘Grassy’ and ‘Glossy’
  • [PlayStation 5] Fixed a bug that prevented Rocket League from playing at the correct and higher resolution when the console was set to Quality mode
  • Fixed a bug that prevented Apex Wheels from being installed on the BMW M240i
  • [Custom Training] UI now updates properly when controls are changed
  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from canceling matchmaking while on the Training Arena select screen
  • Players who leave the match will no longer appear on the skip goal replay list
  • Fixed a bug that prevented players from seeing their own messages in chat
  • Fixed the Delete All Friend Request modal so it works as it should
