Here’s your reminder to use athletic machines with care!
A young woman was recently forced to call the authorities to help her out of a less-than-ideal situation.
“When you have to call 9-1-1 because you’re stuck on the inversion thing at 3am at the gym…” overlay text on short clip read. The viral crash, which was shared on August 29, has been viewed more than seven million times, with the following trailer further explaining the situation with a total of one million additional views, and counting, combined.
After the initial video, a second clip shows the young woman trying to pull herself up to flip through the equipment, but to no avail. “Because you’re going to ask…this is when I knew I was TRAINED…” she wrote.
Luckily, he was wearing an Apple Watch, which helped him contact emergency services.
“There’s just, like, one other guy in the gym, and I’m stuck on this… you know that backboard, like, upside down?” he tried to explain before trying to call someone nearby for help. Later in the call, he admits how “embarrassing” the predicament he was, but he can’t seem to turn around, despite his efforts.

Eventually, a police officer came to the rescue, along with another man, who both helped the young woman get back on her feet with ease.
Several users commented, noting how happy they were that it was safe because hanging upside down for too long is not a good thing. Others praised his ability to stay calm in worry– situation induction.
“My head still feels heavy and it just came off 18 hours later. Wish I could just sleep,” he wrote in a comment the day after the incident.
