Suspect detained after barricade state of affairs in Oakley

Cincinnati police and SWAT members were at the scene of a barricade situation in Oakley Friday. Police said the incident began just after 4pm with a hung up 911 call from an apartment building. Police said it was the sixth 911 call from that address today. According to the dispatcher, when officers arrived at the building at block 3900 Millsbrae Avenue, an identified suspect started opening fire. CPD Lt. Cunningham confirmed to WLWT that none of the officers had been shot. SWAT members arrived on the scene to help police secure the area. Neighbors spoke to WLWT about hearing multiple gunshots before SWAT ushered them out of the building. Police closed traffic on Millsbrae and Markbreit Avenues and Edwards Road due to active locations. Drivers are warned to avoid the area.
